By the time most B2B buyers land on a vendor's website, they've already asked an AI what to buy. Most B2B buyers now use large language models somewhere in their purchase process, according to 6sense's 2025 Buyer Experience Report. The website used to be the first place a buyer met you. Increasingly, it's the second, or the third.

That changes what a visitor actually needs when they arrive. They're not cold. They've usually already asked an AI most of the basic questions: pricing ranges, feature comparisons, whether you're even a real contender. The page they land on doesn't know that. It opens with the same introductory content built for someone starting from zero, then routes them toward a form built for that same cold visitor who no longer exists. The buyer with the most intent gets the least relevant experience.

B2B companies have spent years trying to fix pieces of that experience. Easier navigation. Faster load times. Eventually, a way to get buyers to talk to us instead of just reading about us.

First, that meant a form. Then it meant a conversational layer sitting on top of the form. Friendlier, but the same shape underneath: ask, wait, hope someone gets back to you.

What is an AI agent?

At Docket, we believed the time had finally come for AI agents, software that can hold a real conversation, understand intent, and take action on its own, not just answer a scripted question, to replace the form on your website.

At Docket, we believed the time had finally come for AI agents to replace the form on your website. We believed the first sales call should happen with an agent, right there on your website.

What/Who is Aura?

Our own homepage already had an AI avatar agent living on it. If you haven't met her already, we'd like to introduce you to Aura.

Meet Aura!

What's changed isn't who she is. It's where she lives. We wanted her to feel like she was genuinely part of the homepage, embedded in the hero itself, rather than a separate experience a visitor had to go find. That shift is what this post is really about.

Built Into the Homepage, Not Bolted On

Docket Frameless: Out Now

Aura used to live where most website agents live: tucked at the bottom of the page, waiting behind a "talk to the agent" button. It worked. It answered questions and captured leads for visitors who found it and chose to open it.

We wanted to evolve that. A visitor had to notice the button, decide it was worth clicking, and open it before Aura could say anything at all. That's a lot of steps between someone landing on the page and actually getting help, and most visitors are used to skipping past a corner icon before they've even registered what it does.

So we moved her. Aura now lives in the homepage hero itself, from the very first load. The moment a visitor lands, she's there, moving and present the way a person is present. A small wave, a smile, existing in the page itself rather than sitting in a widget bolted to its corner. We built this with Anam, whose avatar technology is what makes Aura feel present rather than rendered.

To be clear, she doesn't start talking on her own. A visitor still chooses when to start the conversation, a click, a tap on her, an engaged callout. She is present the instant you arrive, waiting for you to decide you're ready rather than waiting for you to find her.

She steps aside as the visitor scrolls, patiently available whenever they're ready to talk.

(How we actually got the "part of the page, not on top of it" feel to work, casting, video, the small details that make a presence feel real instead of canned, is its own story. Our product designer, Jaydeep, wrote about it here.)

We call this Docket Frameless.

What is Docket Frameless

Docket is leading the next evolution of AI marketing agents and Frameless is the proof. Our agent becomes a native part of your page, same design, same feel, no popup, no widget. Visitors get a seamless, premium experience from the moment they land. This is where website engagement is going.

Built for AI Avatar Skeptics, Not Around Them

We know the instinct to be skeptical of a talking avatar. It's not hypothetical for us. In our own sales conversations, prospects have said the same thing directly: past experiences with avatar-based tools left them cold, and they expect ours to be the same. That skepticism is fair. Most avatar experiences are built to look impressive in a demo and say very little of substance once someone actually starts talking to them.

We didn't build around that objection. We built into it. Aura starts every conversation in voice, but she doesn't require sound to be useful. A full text-only path is always one click away. And she's honest about what she is: clearly labeled AI, no pretending to be human. You're always in control, mute her, switch to text, or end the conversation whenever you want.

The First Sales Call Happens with an Agent on Your Website

Once a visitor is talking to Aura instead of hunting for a way to reach someone, the conversation itself can do more. Instead of dropping a form in front of a buyer and hoping they fill it out, Aura has an actual conversation, and something real comes out of it: a qualified visitor, a booked meeting, a warm lead in the right rep's hands, no form fill required.

We believe the first real sales conversation is increasingly going to happen on a website, before anyone's gotten near a calendar invite. That future is here, and we built our own homepage to prove it rather than just say it.

We've spent years trying to make a website into a better place to meet a buyer, easier navigation, faster pages, friendlier conversations layered on top of old forms. Frameless is the next step in that same evolution, not the end of it. We expect the shape of this to keep changing, and we plan to keep building it in public, on our own homepage, first.
